| Application information | OCTOCRYLENE(OCT) is a moderate UVB absorber. It is an oil soluble yellow clear viscous liquid. It is insoluble in water. It can easily be incorporated into the oil phase of a formulation. It is the most effective stabilizer for AVOBENZONE(AVB). OCTOCRYLENE(OCT) is an excellent solubilizer for solid, crystalline UV absorber such as AVOBENZONE(AVB), Ethylhexyl Triazone, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate and BP-3. In combination with other UV-filters high SPF can be achieved. |
